1964 D PCGS AU 50

$0.00

Grade by PCGS AU 50

While the amount will never be known, untold numbers (surely many thousands) of the 1964 quarters were melted in the 1979-1980 Silver Boom. It seems odd that of the 704 million pieces struck of the 1964-D, only 30 pieces have been certified at the MS67 level, and none are known finer at either service (2/10). This is a spectacularly toned example that has pale blue and rose centers on each side with darker multicolored toning in a long arc at the margins. As expected, the mint luster is bright and frosted, and the surfaces are virtually perfect
